Ten contestants will be determined via national qualifiers that will be held in each ASEAN member countries, with a prize pool of US$5,000.

BruGames Management Services has been awarded the organiser for the Brunei National Qualifiers this year.

The Brunei National Qualifiers will take place on September 7-8 for the ‘Online’ phase until four teams remain, while the ‘LAN’ phase will be held on September 14-15, during which the top 4 teams will compete for the top spot and represent Brunei at the WESG SEA Finals.

Those interested can register online and sign up for any one of these titles: CounterStrike: Global Offensive (CS GO), CS GO Women, DOTA 2 or StarCraft 2.

Registration can be done online at the official WESG SEA website and is free of charge.

Final dates for the WESG SEA Finals have not yet been disclosed. The main event will be held in March 2020.

Last year’s WESG saw Brunei’s CS GO team Exidium finished joint 4th-6th with Singapore and Vietnam at the South East Asia Finals at Kuala Lumpur, only losing the 4th and final spot to compete in the World Finals in China by kill score difference.

WESG is an initiative by Alibaba Sports Group (Alisports) to spearhead the development of e-sports on a global scale.
