Progresif now offers its prepaid customers full roaming service when they travel to Singapore.

The telco yesterday announced full service roaming with Singapore’s Singtel and StarHub, and soon M1, putting the company closer to achieving prepaid roaming coverage throughout ASEAN.

Progresif Prepaid customers now have access to data, text and voice calls in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia at preferential rates without the hassle of using callback services or having to swap SIM cards.

While visiting the island nation, subscribers to Progresif can enjoy call rates from as low as B$0.75 per minute and browse the internet at the same price per megabyte of data. They can also send text messages for only B$0.50 per message and receive incoming calls at B$0.50 per minute.

Radi El-Fassed, Head of Product Development at Progresif, said that the company is swiftly pressing forward to include more ASEAN countries in the coverage for prepaid roaming.

“Prepaid roaming in Singapore was a natural next step for us after having launched the service in Malaysia and Indonesia. We’re happy to deliver this as Singapore is a popular travel destination for Bruneians,” said Radi.

“Our goal is to give prepaid customers the same experience of simplicity in communication as we do for our postpaid customers,” he said.

Progresif said communication while roaming is also simplified as the rates for prepaid roaming are equalised for each country where full service prepaid roaming is available.

This means that customers do not have to worry about difference in rates when they are using their Progresif line whether they are travelling in Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia.

The telco said prepaid roaming will be rolled out to cover the more than 100 destinations where Progresif has roaming partners around the world.
