Brunei’s newest mobile phone store Mobile World is now bringing in Nubia-branded smartphones to its showroom in Gadong.
The store this week launched four Nubia handsets: the Nubia Z11, the stylish Nubia M2, and the affordable M2 Lite and N1 Lite.
“We are the first to officially carry the Nubia brand in Brunei,” said Mobile World Sales Manager Niq Ng.
Nubia is a sub-brand of China’s ZTE, and is known for its mega endorsement deal with legendary football star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Z11 is Nubia’s mid-range handset on display at Mobile World, featuring a sturdy metal build and bezel-less 5.5-inch Full-HD screen, as well as a solid 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The Z11 retails for B$668.
Nubia also makes a handset with a rear dual camera system, riding on the new trend for dual cameras. The M2 carries twin 13-megapixel sensors enhanced with Nubia’s ‘NeoVision’ system, which is essentially creating a depth-of-field effect similar to the Leica system on the Huawei P10.
It’s powered by a Snapdragon 625 chip and has a large 5.5-inch Full-HD panel.
The M2 has a matte black finish with diamond-cut metal rims, yet despite this premium treatment, this phone only costs B$598.
Aside from Nubia, Mobile World also offers other phones at competitive prices such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Samsung, LG, HTC and Sony.
