Gaming event manager GameOn organised its first charity run today, giving away daily essentials to the less fortunate families in Brunei in the spirit of Ramadhan.

Members of the community visited the homes of three underprivileged families in Kg Jerudong, carrying with them $400 worth of food, drinks and toiletries.

Amar Agus Din, the founder of GameOn, said that this is the group’s first CSR project since its inception last year.

The $400 worth of donations, he said, was a contribution by GameOn’s members and their respective families and friends.

“This is an opportunity for us to give back to the community, and for our members to feel blessed during the holy month, by realising the plight of the underprivileged individuals in the country,” said Amar.

GameOn organises video game tournaments and game launch events. Last month, the group organised a Fifa 17 gaming tourney at Freshco Mall in Batu Bersurat in collaboration with another gaming event manager Game Time.

The next gaming tournament will be held in September, said Amar.
